Luca Campigotto is a photographer, who captures photography at night. In the photographs above it demonstrates how he has used his camera to capture everything that the human eye doesn't see. For example, in some of the photographs you can clearly see the movement of the vehicles on the streets, which have come out as colored lines in the photograph. The photographer has done this by using slow shutter speed, so he can capture the movement of the cars and bikes on the streets. This has made the photographs effective, as it has gave the photos a blur in some sections, as well as showing the sighing well. By using slow shutter speed, it has taken longer for the camera to take the photo, therefore the camera has captured the movement in the photograph. Below i have shown some of my own version of this work, using slow shutter speed to capture the movement of light. The photographs have a good lighting to each of them, and show clearly what the subject of the photo is.
For the photos above, we have used torches in a dark room to capture the movement of the torches. By doing this we have also used slow shutter speed of the camera setting. Although i am pleased with how the photos have turned out, they are more similar to Henri Cartier-Bressons than Luca Campigotto's. If i were to repeat the shoot, i would change the location of the shoot to outside on a busy road at night. This way you would capture more action and more light on the street.
