For my ideas for my image, i gathered several ideas to what is going to be in my image, and how i am going to compose it. To the right are some images that i would like to be similar to mine. In the poem it mentions about angels, 'dancing in the clouds' and the poem also mentions about, innocence, growing up, wisdom and beauty. This gave me the idea to include the sky, and white clouds also. I also wanted my image to be fairly similar to the ones to the right. Therefore i am going to take my image in a field, as there is plenty of space, and i also think this represents the theme of belief.
To the right are my photos that i have took that relate to my poem. I have included all the photos from my shoot, even the ones i dislike. By doing this i can now see what ones i like and dislike, and what i can improve on, so the shoot goes better next time.
In my photo shoot, i make several photographs which related to the theme of my poem, in my opinion. I have included an annotated copy of my contact sheet, and mentioned the photos that i thought are the best, and explained why. In most of my photos i was pleased with the amount of light that was in the photograph. I tried to make sure that i wasn't pointing the camera directly at the sun, else you wouldn't be able to see much else in the photographs. In most of my photos some of the light is shaded due to the tree's, which i am pleased about. This gives the photograph a better look, as half is more exposed to light than the other.
For my next shoot, i am going to focus on the composition of my photos, and maybe try to shoot at a different time of the day. By doing this i will hopefully capture more of what i want in the photo. Also, i am going to try and relate my photos more to the poem i am doing, by maybe including more features of what the poem in tales. Hopefully for my second shoot, i will gather more precise images of what i am to capture, and get closer to my finishing point. Although i am pleased with my first shoot, i would like to spend more time on my second to resolve what went wrong in the first shoot, and make sure my second shoot is heading towards my ending goal.
I have used a circle in my photo to section out part of the photo. I have related this to my artist research i have done before i started my project. Although the edit i have done related more to the seasonal aspect of the picture. I still think it relates well to the artist research as well as my poem. I wanted to involve the circle, or a shape to section out part of the photograph. By doing this i think it makes it look more eye catching and people would take more notice of it as it has different bright colours in.

I think that my photos do relate to the poem that i chose to annotate. My photos show a theme of 'belief' i think, from the sun coming in through the trees.
The photographs that are bigger are my favorite ones from the shoot. Throughout my shoot, in all of my photos, the sunlight was a big factor of how the photo looked. Because i took the shoot early in the morning meant there that the sun was still rising, and wasn't at it's strongest point. Also in some of my photos i have captured the colours of the trees, which i like. However, i wasn't pleased with all of my photos. In some of my photos, my camera didn't adjust to the lighting, therefore my photo came out darker than i wished and i didn't capture the amount of light that i wished to.
Also, if i had been in a different position whilst taking the photo, for example if the sun was behind me, i wouldn't have got the same affect of the sun shining through the trees. If the light was coming from behind me, the trees would be more highlighted, and the background scene behind me would be much darker. Although i am pleased with my first shoot, i would have liked to have spent more time on it, and the place that i chose to shoot wasn't my preferred location. Also, in a few of my photos, he camera wasn't focused and there was too much light in the photo, therefore the camera came out dark. As well as this, some of my photographs are slightly blurred, and the photo didn't end up looking like i wanted it to. - To resolve this, next time i am going to maybe use a tripod to ensure the photographs aren't blurred, and to make sure i end up getting the photo i want.
For my second shoot, i would like to capture more photos which relate to parts of the poem more closely. Sentences of the poem rather than the whole poem as one. By doing this i am going to shoot in a different location, and get more close up photos of objects rather than all of the same based photos. I also may include some words or quotes that relate to the poem. By doing this, people would recognize better what my photos are all about, and the story i am trying to tell through them.
I am also going to try and capture different types of nature that relate to my poem. By dong this, photographs won't all look the same, and will be a bit more exiting. |
